I have been working at Williamson County Schools part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

talking to students to see if they are having good days, and to see them smile. Being able to be positive to the students and for their patients brings me joy knowing that I made a difference in someone's life that day.

    Cons

Director/Assistant director believes managers even if you have everything you need written down, get talked to as the workers are nothing.

    Advice to Management

Treat employees as if they matter, with respect and dignity, please do not treat employees as robots.

I worked at Williamson County Schools full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

This was a Fun job, with lots of freedom, summers and extended days off, great benefits, great relationships with kids and adults.

    Cons

No room for advancement without a teaching degree, often being asked to reteach lessons that you may not be qualified to do, low pay. Teachers Assistants are trained and certified to restrain difficult kids, not teachers! This should be the teachers' responsibility, primarily with the TAs assisting.

    Advice to Management

Continue finding ways to encourage staff. Require CPI training for teachers.

Get more in touch with what happens in the trenches. Your management is spread so thin, it
