I have been working at Williamson Medical Center part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Williamson Medical is very close to my house, the staff is very friendly everywhere, and my managers are very open to working around my schedule.

    Cons

Unfortunately, the pay at Williamson is a lot less than many other hospitals I make less now than I made starting out at the same job at another hospital a year ago. Management on my floor also seems to understaff a lot

    Advice to Management

I would like for management to schedule the appropriate amount of techs for the number of patients

I worked at Williamson Medical Center full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

great place to work, benefits are top notch, coworkers are friendly and encouraging, A1 service and hospitality to patients, It was more about the patients and not the money there, Probably worked for the best and most caring Rehab Director to his staff, PTO build up is amazing

    Cons

the pay as a tech was subpar for the workload compared to everywhere else, assisting with patients all day really took a toll on my body, Some coworkers can make you feel below them at times,

    Advice to Management

    None

I worked at Williamson Medical Center full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Unit was well stocked with amenities for the patients. Plenty of training. Medical benefits good. Easy access to parking.

    Cons

Low pay, community hospital, so they roll the carpets up at 5 pm and tuck everyone in; in other words, don't bother the physicians about their patients at night. Nurse to patient ratios too high. Triple charting is common.

    Advice to Management

Simplify charting, update patient flow/room assignments. Too much mixing of Labor patients and postpartum patients.

    Pros

The environment was nice and positive for the most part. My coworker were willing to learn from each other and teach me as a new grad. They really cared about my well being.

    Cons

Any company getting larger can be a con as well as a pro.
Not a ton of interactions with management.

    Advice to Management

Be sure to listen to your front line, Nurses, nursing techs, therapist, those that see the patients for longer than the doctors and know what goes on, on a day to day basis. They can be your greatest assets.

I have been working at Williamson Medical Center full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Work/Life balance is good. Enjoyable coworkers and a good respectful patient population. Most physicians are competent in their specified field. Most of the physicians are respectful to both the patients and nurses.

    Cons

Good old boys club is the name of this place. Managers are puppets to the money hungry upper business management. Not for profit results in big bonuses for managers who keep staffing at a skeleton crew. Be ready to work like a dog so these folks can enjoy their kick backs. Managers are puppets to bully nurses and higher ups.

    Advice to Management

Get managers who have worked in the field they manage
