I worked at Willis Towers Watson full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The leadership in the office is very supportive and wonderful to work with, there is great work life balance, the culture in the office is positive and there are some amazing people to work with. They are always finding things to encourage employees like bocce ball tournaments and team building events. They also provide free soda, juice, coffee, water and more often than not there are leftovers from some meeting.

    Cons

Having IT offshore is one of the biggest cons. It's very frustrating when you need IT needs. There are also limited opportunities for advancement.

I have been working at Willis Towers Watson full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    The benefits are great!

Casual dress is allowed except when clients are visiting, working from home is allowed on a limited basis, I can set my own schedule within reason, they provide a company iPhone, they do 401k matching and provide a pension, there are free sporting event tickets and tailgates for company outings, occasionally there is free food, the soda machines are always free, the list goes on and on.

    Cons

It's a global company so there are a lot of people to coordinate with in order to get things done.

Also, I'm in a rapidly expanding business segment so there can sometimes be growing pains.

    Advice to Management

Your employees know that difficult changes need to be made from time to time. However, they would like to feel like management understands that changes take time and effort out of their normal work day and schedules.

I have been working at Willis Towers Watson full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good support and exceptional business model. Winning new clients in the marketplace and providing good service and true value to clients. Great flexible work environment, good offices, strong benefits and good pay.

    Cons

Political infighting between lines of business and account directors. Good consultants are loaded up quickly and hiring occurs after new work is won, which means someone has to do more work than intended until hiring catches up.

    Advice to Management

Hire in anticipation of growth despite the short term hit to productivity.

I have been working at Willis Towers Watson full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Exposure to all different types of clients, industries, and work
    - Will not pigeon hole you into one field; have opportunities to do work in different lines of business
    - Great upper management, i.e., they care about your career progression, your work/life balance, etc.
    - Firm's brand and reputation in the HR consulting space
    - You learn something different from each different consultant and colleague you work with
    - Working on multiple projects at once - subjective opinion but keeps work interesting
    - Flexibility in schedule

    Cons

    - Cash compensation is fair, though should be better with the level of stress and responsibilities given. However, total rewards (comp + benefits + retirement) is great
    - Work / life balance can suffer at times. Often on-call around the clock. Though the trade off is the vast amount experience you get
