    Pros

Your job is only going to be enjoyable if you're put in the right department with an experienced manager

    Cons

    Everything's great except the pay.
You don't get compensated enough for the work we do

    Advice to Management

No advice is recommended at this time.

I have been working at Wilshire Bancorp (More than a year)

    Pros

The company pushes you to learn everything fast. This can be beneficial, because it's a good foot in the door. Family-like environment. Good work life balance.

    Cons

Pay is beyond below average. Promotions are purely based on tenure and not merit. You learn to copy and paste information rather than learn actual analysis.

    Pros

Growing Korean-American bank about to merge with another Korean-American bank.

    Cons

Literally, the worst bank I have ever worked for. Run like a dictatorship, or monarchy. Very cliquish. Resistant to change and people are hired and let go like the wind.

    Advice to Management

    Grow up and get some.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Team work seems very important here and the co-workers are pretty friendly. Bonus at end of the year, outings as a group to nice dinners etc. If you work there long enough, probably reach VP position regardless of how talented you are. Insurance and 401K are really good here.

    Cons

Low salary, Korean culture is really strong..., can't readily take sick days for fear management will say something. They tell you to use vacation days but you're kind of forced to use it at end of the year.

    Friendly employees
    Good upper-level management
    Great health insurance

    Cons

    Low starting salary
Strong Korean culture that can make it hard for non-koreans to acclimate to

    Advice to Management

Provide a higher starting salary so that you will have a lower turnover rate

They are all very nice people to work with, and this company does provide good insurance benefits.

    Cons

They speak mainly in korean, if you don't know how, then you will missed a lot of information.

    Advice to Management

    Encourage English speaking culture.

    Pros

Great coworkers and if you're a workaholic you'll love it here

    Cons

Promotions, HQ being in LA (Human Resources don't care about the people that aren't located in HQ!!! They ignore the people on the East Coast!!!)

    Advice to Management

Stick to your words. If you promise something to the employee, please do it. This is why no one likes you because you go behind what you say and stop boasting yourself in front of us cause we don't care.

I have been working at Wilshire Bancorp full-time

    Pros

Good coworkers, bonus if profitable, good insurance

    Cons

Poor management, poor working conditions, you put 100% but there's no return. Strong Korean culture.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your employees before they start leaving. High turn over rate is due to management that does not realize what they have until its gone.
