I worked at Wilton Brands full-time

    Pros

All new senior management that are taking a great historical dominant brand and making it exciting and relevant again.

    Cons

There still exists old timers who want the business to be run like it was in 2005. They are being worked out but it takes time.

    Advice to Management

Keep moving forward, seems like the company is on a much better track.

I have been working at Wilton Brands full-time

    Pros

Senior management is working hard to appease the numerous requests from employees, by improving involvement, perks, and hiring a compensation analyst. They have used the restructure, to eliminate the negativity and obsolete jobs that were hindering us from progressing.

    *Laid-back atmosphere
    *Diverse and friendly co-workers
    *Creativity is encouraged
*Percentage of women in senior management

    Cons

Due to the transition, there are some major gaps in communication, and the workload is stacked in certain departments/individuals.
    *Technical difficulties!!

I have been working at Wilton Brands full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

they are a good group of people to work with and they try to make things fun and interesting by having pizza parties and pot lucks and birthday parties during lunch breaks.

    Cons

lots of favoritism and some times not real good communication between the managers and the people who work under them.

    Advice to Management

The new CEO is trying to turn this company around, it would be wise to listen to the people who make this place, ideas no matter how large or small can have a huge affect. Otherwise I truly believe this can work out and im in it for the long haul.....

I have been working at Wilton Brands full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Wilton is a recognized brand that has a popularity and line of products that has stood the test of time. Lot's of change happening currently which has resulted in some upper management leaving and the shaking up of certain departments. New management that has come in seems eager to make a difference and help Wilton grow back into the leader it used to be. Changes seem to be being implemented slowly, but that is expected as nothing happens overnight. Increased company communication regarding sales successes, events, etc.

Great benefits package and work life balance. Moving to a new brand new office space in the Summer. Fast paced environment where there is always work do be done. Sometimes there is a feeling that you are being overworked but nothing that is unattainable.

    Cons

Some more tenured employees are stuck in their ways and not as adept to change as a lot of the more recent additions to the organization are. Change is hard, especially when you are used to doing things a certain way and I think some employees are not as excited about the 'newer' Wilton.

    Advice to Management

Continue to make sure your employees feel valued. Timely communication regarding the successes the company has had due to the changes that are being implemented is necessary in order to keep the employee population engaged and excited.

    Pros

Friendly people, nice office space, great employee discounts on products, people brought food to share at work a lot

    Cons

My particular manager had no idea what they were doing. We'd have to instruct them on the basics of their job. I don't believe they're employed there any longer.

    Pros

1/2 day friday's during the summer

    Cons

The pay schedule is bi-monthly instead of every other week. This makes planning your budget or paying daycare troublesome at points - sometimes paydays are 2 1/2 weeks apart, sometimes almost 3 weeks.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the needs of the employees and the suggestions they would like to see during town hall meetings.

    Pros

Lots of opportunities if you work at it. Great summer hours.

    Cons

    Sometimes too much politics.

    Advice to Management

Jerry Levine never lead a successful merger and he never will. Time for a new CEO. Too much on himself and not the good for the company.
