I worked at Windsor Foods full-time

    Pros

Good benifits, competative pay, very nice employees.

    Cons

The only issue I can see is there are individuals that still operate on the buddy system instead of doing what is nessisary for the companies advancement.

    Advice to Management

Expect performance, reward success and punish failure. Do not continue with sub-par employees because of there years with the company.

I worked at Windsor Foods (More than a year)

    Pros

There are several LONG term employees.

    Cons

Very low moral, Bad management practices, little to no opportunity for growth, very low pay for plant employees and horrible family standards for taking care of sick children and/or even yourself. No Sick Time. HR Mgmt is horrible. Most plant employees can't speak English. Makes communication very difficult.

    Advice to Management

    Lead from the top down.

I worked at Windsor Foods full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great people to work with also very nice clean environment as well. They worked well with individual schedules and assisted with tuition benefits.

    Cons

Lacked the ability to help employees move up to the next level. Don't offer valuable mentoring skills for employees looking to further their career. Lot of management politics that didn't allow employees to move from one department to another.

I worked at Windsor Foods full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Highly diverse workforce with many great individuals and co-workers.
Training is simple and easy to accomplish.
Company parties are a perk and a great way to meet other members of the facility.

    Cons

Mid-level leadership is lacking, and prone to rigidity especially those who have not experienced other jobs.

Compensation for an experienced individual is not on par with the economy. A highly experienced individual is paid the exact same rate as a non-skilled, inexperienced person.

    Advice to Management

Senior leadership needs to remove incompetent mid-level managers who are unfamiliar with other methods of accomplishing tasks or are afraid a subordinate is more knowledgeable than them.

I have been working at Windsor Foods part-time

    Pros

Nice office facility and great location in Ontario, CA. They are a big player in a stable industry.

    Cons

The company exploits temporary workers with unmanageable work loads. The manager of the accounts receivable department is very condescending and outright nasty in her attitude and tone when interacting with employees, especially temporary workers.

    Advice to Management

Start treating workers with respect and you will have a much happier work place and see employee performance improve.
