I have been working at Windstream full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I worked at the call center yet was promoted to work in the financial service sector. My team is wonderful, and I enjoy going to work everyday. There are now no complaints. We have team outings and lunches. They treat us real well in FS. If you have the drive and ambition you can leave the customer focused center and move to other departments. My supervisor is amazing, and I do like Windstream.

    Cons

There are often too many changes. Supervisors change at random and teams are broken apart without any type of notice. i love my position and that is the only thing I can think of.

    Advice to Management

Make it to where people who are interested in other positions within the company get to those positions. It s

I have been working at Windstream full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I have been working for Windstream for 20 years. I've held all sorts of jobs and titles. and can proudly say that this is a company that cares about their employees. The team that I'm currently on are like family, we support and respect each other. Vacation days and Holiday paid time off is amazing.

    Cons

Changes occur often, but with a large organization that happens to align the business with its customers. We just have to adapt at times.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work and Thanks for all that you do!

I have been working at Windstream full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Windstream has been a great place to work and has taught me quite a bit. I started off here in 2000 placing collections calls. 16 years later I have been rewarded with a series of promotions and different opportunities and now make nearly 4 times what I made when I started. The skills that I learned are also highly transferable. I left Windstream for a two year period and also received a promotion at the other employer. I returned to Windstream because of the management and culture. My boss, her peers, and her boss are quick to acknowledge my accomplishments which makes me feel proud.

If you are thinking about a call center job I can tell you that Windstream is a great. It starts with management that drive performance while at the same time caring and taking a personal interest in your development. I have probably working visited close to 100 call centers in my career and can tell you facilities wise Windstream's are right up there with the best. Big cubicles, no desk sharing and comfortable break areas and vending.

    Cons

Telecommunications is a rapidly changing market, so if you aren't comfortable with change this is not the place for you. Healthcare costs are a big concern, but my friends at other comparable sized business have costs that are similar. In 2017 we didn't have an insurance increase which is a big bonus.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. Continue to invest in leadership development.

    Pros

I have worked for this company for almost 10 years. I've held all sorts of jobs and titles, and I can honestly say this is a company that cares about their front line employees. Working in a call center is never easy- schedules are based on call volume and calls can sometimes be difficult to take. But our teams are like family and we all support and respect each other. End the end, your co-workers and your paycheck pay off. Paid Time off is ridiculously amazing and unmatchable.

    Cons

The shift is not flexible, unfortunately. You may be working until 7-8pm for 2-3 years before moving up to an earlier shift. If you can tough it out, it's definitely worth it!

    Pros

    Great people to work with.

    Cons

    Need better health insurance.

    Advice to Management

The pay scales need to be revamped. Outside applicants have turned down a job offered to them due to a low starting rate.
