I have been working at Windstream full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great company to work for. Loved my co-workers and manager in Ephrata, PA. Good culture and probably the best job I ever had. Would have stayed if didn't have to care for ailing parents.

    Cons

Highly competitive market and product...difficult to sell dedicated bandwidth and justify the cost against cable modem (not comparing apples to apples).

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work!

I have been working at Windstream full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Windstream is a great place to work and treat their employees well !! Yearly trips to Mexico and Las Vegas for the top sales reps. In a call center but the atmosphere is great. Supervisors are willing to work with employees with schedules and time off. Specifically David Pelkey is the best boss to work for. Thank you Dave and Windstream for everything you have done for me.

    Cons

Sales job sometimes crosses over into customer service but most of the time focusing on Sales. Systems are a little out dated and can tend to work slow.

    Advice to Management

    Keep things Simple!!

I have been working at Windstream full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The job is great. There are some complaints like every job; however, the positives outweigh the negatives. I will lau them out:
    1. Vacation time is very generous, especially those who have just started with the company.
    2. The managers love to see you succeed. I was promoted from customer service to financial services in a year and a half. That is where my career path landed me, and I haven't looked back. My supervisor is awesome, my staff manager is amazing and will help you when you need it, and the director has an open door policy where you can go in at any time and talk about your day and the position.
    3. There is never a boring day. Each day is different. There are reports to be ran, and new things to learn.
    4. Awesome teammates. These people are my second family. I can talk with them about anything and they will be there to listen.

    Cons

Like any job there are negatives. The main thing is consistent fear of being let go. I have seen the friends I have worked with for years in financial services let go without any sort of notice. Also, the health benefits are not as good as they used to be. Other than that, keep up the good work.

    Advice to Management

Nothing much. I love the job and being at work on a daily basis. Please don't downsize financial services.
