    Pros

Its a secure place to work. You won't have to worry about job security while you are there.

    Cons

The company lacks a culture and work-life balance. On any typical day you will be expected to sit in your cube for 8 hours a day.

I have been working at Windstream full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great working environment, flexible hours, advancement opportunities, comparable pay, team building and on the job training skills provided, and a solid upper management.

    Cons

In my opinion there are not many down sides to working here at Windstream. I have been fortunate enough to have managers and co workers who have been wonderful people and that is an important part of a job since we spend anywhere from 8-10 hours of our day here.

    Advice to Management

My advice to management would be to show employees immediate appreciation who dedicate their time to achieve the goals set before them. It is not always enough for people to just receive a pay check. Every human being wants to be shown how much they are needed and that can come in the way of small tokens that would mean the world to individuals. We all have families and things that take up our mind and time but as managers that oversee a group or groups its the small tokens that count. Show more love and appreciation in the day to day interactions and employees will have no choice but to follow the leader.

I worked at Windstream full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Co-workers are fantastic here. However the company has unrealistic expectations of due dates while layoffs continue. Vacation time is decent.

    Cons

Benefits have been dwindled down to terrible healthcare with exorbitant amounts employees need to contribute for basically "catastrophic insurance".

    Advice to Management

Wow, where to start....while we all realize the nature of our business is in heavy competition, perhaps some better planning could keep employees from a layoff the week before Christmas....And maybe if we kept some of our management the same we could keep from making the same mistakes twice.

I worked at Windstream full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Having Every Weekend Off was one of the few positives about this company. Also the hours were convenient.

    Cons

Everything else. They straight lied to me about the compensation for this position. None of the managers are actually trained on the tools needed to succeed. Very much lacks cohesiveness. No one knows what is going on 90% of the time.

    Advice to Management

Start telling the truth in your interviews and orientations. Don't lie to future employees and tell them they will be able to earn amount X when you clearly can not provide that opportunity.

I worked at Windstream (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The people are amazing to work with. I had the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the brightest people in the industry.

    Cons

Leadership has no clue how to lead. You are micro managed to the extreme.

    Advice to Management

Focus on the human aspect of the business not just the bottom line.
