    Pros

No Pros as I have not worked here

    Cons

Apparent application process has no one looking at applicants

    Advice to Management

I applied for a job and within moments I received a email saying my credentails had been received and my qualifications didnt match. Having been int the business for over 15 years , I would say my qualifications are more than fitting. The lack of compassion in your response for those seeking employment should be something considered . Would not consider this job with that type of professionalism .

    Pros

Great people and work life balance. Th company merged recently and there are new opportunities happening all the time.

    Cons

Low salaries, at least in Public Relations. Sometimes the company tends to shoot from the hip and then figure out strategy later...

"Pros of Beautiful Portfolio Outweigh the Cons if you Have a Good Manager"

I worked at Winebow (More than a year)

    Pros

Beautiful portfolio of wines and spirits. Excellent product and industry education program. Passionate co-workers. If you have a good manager they will cultivate your abilities and assist you in reaching your goals. The manager really dictates the environment as a good manager and leader takes the time to put together a strong team of quality people. Enjoyable sales competition between colleagues, on the whole not overly cutthroat. Nice incentives an perks.

    Cons

Legalities of industry create un-even playing field between companies, as well as between individual divisions within the company. Expected to sign agreements that you will not break SLA rules, yet upper management regularly expect it of employees. Breaking rules (not signing an agreement that you understand them and will not break them) seems to be standard in the industry, but could change if it started from the top down, which I do not believe will ever happen here. If you have a poor manager you easily could be used as a scapegoat.

Compensation used to be more stable until a merger with Martin Scott and revamp of hr policies. I was about to gain (4 or 5 weeks from it) an additional week of vacation due to coming up on anniversary date and instead no longer qualified.

Company hires dead weight managers (nepotism?) and hangs on to them refusing to see their negative impact on once vibrant and successfully selling divisions.

    Advice to Management

Begin cultivating the culture you wish to have from the top down. Hire people that you want to lead your sales force and not just swish through. Take pride in your employees and demonstrate to them that they are an important and integral part of the company's success.

I have been working at Winebow full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great team to work with, as well as a fabulous portfolio of fine wines and spirits.

    Cons

You may find yourself living out of your car. Be sure to understand your total expenses (i.e. parking, parking tickets, commute, special events, et.)
