As with any wine sales rep job, must be flexible with schedule, be prepared to answer emails and phone calls at all times during the day/week, as well as work events some weekends, depending on your market.

Pros
Winebow is definitely a premier distributor/importer to work for if you are truly into good, quality wine & spirits. While things are changing rapidly, the majority of the portfolio is still smaller production, family owned, quality product. That said, some of it is tougher to sell, especially on the off-premise side, as it is lesser known. As the consumer base moves towards more sustainable and family owned "craft" consumables, Winebow is well positioned in that regard. At least when I was there, their compensation is one of the best in the industry. If you work hard and meet your targets, you will be paid well.
Cons
Winebow has undergone a lot of restructuring and expansion in recent years, and naturally with that comes a lot of change (some good some not so good). There is definitely a strong push on not so "boutique" brands, as Winebow aligns with some larger suppliers (to be fair most large distributors have this pressure, and actually a lot more). So they are starting to move from "hey we sell awesome craft brands" to "hey we need to get this wine out in a big way", because it is a commercial brand. Again, that is more the case with larger distributors. As for upward mobility, at least in my experience, there is little turnover on the sales side. So you may not move up if that is your goal, but you also may make more money than your boss (and your boss' boss!), although they may start curbing that. All in all, still a great company that sits between the super large commercial distributors and the smaller craft distributors with a killer portfolio that wine and spirits enthusiasts really love.
