    I worked at Winn-Dixie part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

5% discount on overly priced Winn Dixie items?

    Cons

A lot of lifting, being in the freezer for long durations, either not enough shifts or very long shifts, management doesn’t care about the employees, very bad time management.

    Advice to Management

Raise the salary. Make the job more fun. Give more benefits. Nothing kept me at Winn Dixie I would have gone anywhere else in a heartbeat if they paid even a penny more

I have been working at Winn-Dixie part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people I work with are great. Both the manager and workers that I work with, do their jobs efficiently and fast. Mostly friendly environment. I would only recommend the back end of the store, such as working in grocery, produce, or dairy/frozen.

    Cons

The pay is terrible, even if you have been there for over a year. Don't expect a pay raise. The front end of the store has become a toxic mess between associates. I suggest working somewhere else for a couple months before even applying here, as your base pay would usually start near or at minimum wage, unless you have experience. Managers may have some inexperience when it comes to filing for workers compensation, and work-related injury. Scheduling time off is ridiculous with the amount of workers available. The store is a generally a mess.

    Advice to Management

My advice to management is to look out for your associates and care more for them. Suggest reviewing your department on a bi-weekly to a monthly basis for both how your associates are performing and if the work is quick and efficient. Lastly is trying out a new policy on a short-staffed store.
