      Pros

Great company to work! They truly care about their employees and listen to your concerns, needs, etc. Only downfall for the NICU, the compensation could be better.... BUT their benefits packages are amazing! Highly recommend.

      Cons

Compensation could be better but benefit packages are great!

I worked at Winnie Palmer Hospital full-time

      Pros

Interacting with patients was a pro for me because I was able to escape the hostile environment and focus on how I could make the patient's stay as good as possible. I liked interacting with patients because at least for those minutes, I did not have to put up with horrible colleagues.

      Cons

      - Hypocritical leadership team (no morals) - Incompetent leadership (no leadership skills) - Leadership has poor judgement -Leadership has poor character - Leadership lies - I was bullied in this work environment - They play the blame game here - There is always an employee or employees who are complaining about another employee rather than focusing on their own jobs. It was overheard that a particular group...

      Advice to Management

To the new President of the hospital, please hire Patient Business management staff with ethics. I am also speaking of corruption on the team leadership level, supervisory level/ assistant manager level and manager level which includes HR. (A couple of the TL's have good work ethics and I cannot speak against all supervisors as I did not have direct work experience with all of them) Your HR management is crude, complacent...

I have been working at Winnie Palmer Hospital full-time for more than 5 years

      Pros

Team member support, babies, Nurse/Doctor relationship, working environment, passionate and amazing group of nursing staff!

      Cons

Micromanagement, lack of consistency, 3-4-5 baby assignments with minimal management jumping in to help, lack of appreciation for nursing staff’s passion for their patients, high expectations for customer service while overloading with patient workload, zero growth opportunities, caddy managers who pick favorites, high high high stress with minimal recognition from management, absolutely minuscule support for nursing...

      Advice to Management

Yeah, hire new management on ALL levels throughout the NICU, start fresh with voted management by the nursing staff members. Also, listen to your nursing staff, they are the ones who are taking care of these families and babies a majority of the time, stop micromanaging every little thing, support your staff, allow for seniority to have a pull on advancements as those members have stuck with this organization through...

I worked at Winnie Palmer Hospital full-time

      Pros

My fellow bedside nurses work together as a team! They always had each other's backs! There was no day shift night shift rivalry at all!

      Cons

They claim to have self scheduling when there is really no such thing. Sometimes you have to get floated to units that you're not comfortable working on. And recently the night shift differential was changed drastically

      Advice to Management

Listen to your Nurses! the bedside nurses are the ones doing the day-to-day work yet information regarding policy changes procedure changes come from staff members of the administration that have not worked at the bedside in decades, if at all!

I worked at Winnie Palmer Hospital full-time for more than 3 years

      Pros

Honestly hard to remember. There are always a lot of job openings? Some people liked the job I did because it was relatively easy, but I did not agree. The tasks themselves were easy, but the environment made it difficult.

      Cons

Every complaint you've ever had about any job ever times 10. Unless you just REALLY need a job, I'd advise against it.
