I worked at Winning Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - great opportunities to move within the business. The business is very supportive of internal moves within the group- moves from logistics to sales and customer service into various other functions - finance, marketing etc are common

    Cons

    - Poor management. Further down this page of reviews, it states that managing the CEO is a full time job in itself and that still remains true to this date. He is so involved in the day to day of many functions of the business that it doesn’t allow for the people within those departments to get on with their jobs. He constantly changes his mind and believes that he knows best, often disregarding the advice of... experts in the field. The senior management team in the business are either clueless themselves or realise that arguing with the CEO is a fruitless endeavour and allow him to run rampant. This is a family business, so it is understandable that he is the CEO, but he is better suited to a position away from the direct operations of the business. - Broken promises. In recent times, the business has seen some employees leave due to commitments made to them that were not followed through. People are given progression goals and incentivised with a title change/pay rise and upon review, they are given poor reasons as to why the titles/pay cannot be provided - all whilst the CEO boasts about the company success at the monthly head office meetings. This alongside the poor decision making in the company has allowed for mass exoduses in parts of the business - people have left to better jobs with more money, and in droves. - Lack of formal training for managers. There are a few managers within the business who would benefit from management training. Many have moved up the ranks within the business, which is a credit to them, however they are not equipped with the right skills to manage their teams. - Nepotism is rife in the business. Again, a family business would mean you see family members working together, however in this business, family members are promoted quickly to extremely high positions without the experience or skills to handle the roles. Eg - young customer service team member is now the GM of a division, all within 2 years - because he’s the cousin of the CEO.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Winning Group full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

None -To be avoided at all costs!

    Cons

Seriously Toxic Culture from the head down- Nothing but lies & propaganda in the media. Absolutely no care or interest in any members of staff. Destroying talent that has left in droves. Recruiting used car shonks that are running the business into the ground!

    Advice to Management

Your playing a losing game! Worthless values. Nobody wants to work with you & you have got to stop believing your own BS ... it’s a joke

There's an awesome buzz and energy about working at Winning. You get to work with smart and switched on people on cool things.
