I have been working at Wipfli full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The culture, the benefits, the opportunity. They ask a lot of their employees, but give you the resources to succeed. Would absolutely recommend working here to anyone. Great managers, work life balance. In short: - Great exposure and recognition - Excellent benefits and office environment - Tons of opportunities to grow within the company – Very outward mindset

    Cons

None worth mentioning. So far best company I have worked for.

I have been working at Wipfli full-time

    Pros

I very much enjoy the team that I work with, we are close even with COVID forcing us to stay home. You have great flexibility with your vacation.

    Cons

    The pay could be better.

I have been working at Wipfli full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Firm based out of the midwest gives it a much different work environment when compared to firms based out of the big cities (e.g. Chicago & New York)

    Cons

Firm has grown substantially by merging in smaller firms with the same issue of having too many retiring partners without any feasible succession plan. Wipfli has been playing the roll of deep pockets there to help out a bunch of older retiring partners sell their practices rather than simply disbanding.

I worked at Wipfli full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

*Young workforce *Company Summit *Great initial experience for an advisor right out of college *Educated Advisors *Dress Code

    Cons

*Company benefits (Pay is OK but definitely not on the higher end for similar positions, health/dental OK, no 401k match but discretionary profit sharing) *Extreme micromanagement at all levels (manager, office, region, and company) *Cite freedom to choose speed of career progression, but do not deliver this flexibility in practice *Inadequate and biased annual reviews to determine promotions (it's based on the advisor you work under, so if their expectations are more/less than a different region, your skills are over/under recognized) *Lack of recognition/appreciation *Overworked at an associate level, with demanding expectations for new employees *Canned client experience *Limited bonus potential at associate level *Excessive amount of unnecessary company calls/meetings *Empty promises of change when issues are brought to higher levels/frequent excuses and defensive responses *Lack of accountability - hierarchical in nature

I have been working at Wipfli full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Nice family environment, very flexible with work from home especially during COVID.

    Cons

You are required to work at least 45 hours per week, this is not beneficial for people with children or who just need work life balance in general. I do not mind occasionally putting in extra hours, but to be expected to work 45 hours a week every week is absurd. During COVID, it has become blatantly obvious that some employees are just AWOL. They are logged in to their computers but completely non-responsive when you try to reach out to them. This would be fine if the company offered ANY kind of training, but no, you just get thrown into your position and are expected to learn on your own. PTO is crap- 15 days per year with 8 paid holidays. The India team gets much more holidays than the US team- probably more PTO too, but that is not disclosed to us. Maybe young college grads think it is great because they don't know any better. I shouldn't have left my last job for this one, or I should have at least taken the other opportunity that was presented to me when I was changing careers.

    Pros

Work Schedule was relatively flexible when allowed

    Cons

Long hours longer than was told in Interview Poor communication from top management all the way down Unorganized Wipfli continues to buy smaller firms merging in a hodgepodge of different company cultures, none of which conform to the "Wipfli Way"
