I have been working at Wipro full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Team is great
    - Tasks are interesting
    - Management is reasonable
    - Benefits are fine
    - Room for growth

    Cons

Pay is way too low for the area. For a family provider, the pay is unsustainable, especially if you choose to live in the area or anywhere close to work (within 1 hour drive).

    Advice to Management

Adjust pay according to cost of living

I worked at Wipro full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Opportunity to work Remote
    Salary
3 Weeks Vacation (More companies are doing this)

    Cons

Middle Managers not speaking up for their team: Linux admin, doing backups, monitoring, installing security (there are teams for that, yet Managers don't speak up)
If Middle Manager ask you to cross train with an old OS or old environment which is different than what you interviewed for and was hired for, and you say no - Oh boy!!! you are on the list.
Do not expect Reviews (was there 3 years, no Review from anyone)
Do not expect Raises (no raise in 3 years, colleague of mine on another team got 1% raise)
    Lots of Turnover
No opportunity for advancement and cross training
If your there currently, the axe is coming.
In orientation, they mentioned pushing customers to cloud and Virtualization; not true if the customer is okay with their Solaris 8 v440 running and don't want to change. Wipro will not force the change, they will force you to work on getting it resolved.

    Advice to Management

Acknowledge you have resources who work over 70 hrs a week.
Make a greater push for cloud and VM to the customers, I understand you are scared and don't want to mess up the money. But it hurts your resources working with old and archaic OS and applications.

I worked at Wipro full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Nothing at all! They're pirates buying companies with the intent to gut. Exploit offshore resources by paying them pennies on the dollar

    Cons

Everything! Wipro gutted HealthPlan Services. Fired 1000's they have no respect for American people or the carriers ! All they care about is doing more with less (Lean) and overcharging for their services

    Advice to Management

    Resign

Exposure to explore the ground work and address the real world needs through servicing. You get to appreciate the environment.

    Cons

You make a move only when you have thirst for self development and learning. Or when there's a need identified to get familiarized with cutting edge technologies.
