I have been working at Wipro full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Salary and quarterly bonus structure a big plus and one of the reasons I moved there

    Cons

Global company with Indian mindset which is expected for an Indian company. Once in it is extremely difficult to get raises

    Advice to Management

Look after onsite resources as well as Indian staff. Most times the company is focused on Indian resources

I have been working at Wipro full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible - mainly because of the incompetence of most of the management
Range of projects across sectors, variety for technology people
You can establish yourself if you're an underachiever
    Great if you're Indian

    Cons

    Bullying environment
Offshore delivery management out of touch
    Treat employees like dirt
    Lack consistent customer approach
    Racist

    Advice to Management

Wipro is like a kindergarten, the company lacks maturity and a common culture, the default resourcing approach is "get a work visa and bring in more Indians", many of whom are not fit for purpose. A lot of talk, but the reality is far different. Your employees don't like the culture, clients have no confidence in you.
Get a reality check and treat your staff better.

I have been working at Wipro full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Some interesting work with big customers, but good assignments are less in the rapid move to commodity work. Good bonus scheme.

    Cons

Where to start. Poor management, total disregard for staff, poor benefits, only an Indians opinions matter and wages frozen if you over achieve too often.

    Advice to Management

Treat staff with respect not disdain. Stop the endless raise to dumb everything down. Stop employing family relatives in senior positions that know nothing. Realise your a multinational company now not an Indian sweat shop.

I worked at Wipro full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Depends largely on your team and manager and the client they deploy you to. If the client is working on decent technologies and has good work conditions you can enjoy the job.

    Cons

Very bureaucratic and too much overhead work in terms of process. Expect to own your weekends and you can be asked to turn things around over them.

    Advice to Management

There are too many companies trying to differentiate themselves one way or another by publishing white papers and conducting webinars on areas expecting to be recognized as experts. That unfortunately doesn't change people's perception of what Wipro is.

I worked at Wipro full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Some of the Health benefits are actually quite good. Compensation was OK. Some (a minority) of the management are actually quite good.

    Cons

Toxic, political work environment. The sort of work environment which gives Indian outsourcers the reputation of being sweat shops. Expect to work long hours. Bullying is rampant. There is no respect for your personal time and space or personal life. You are expected to be available on a 24/7/365 basis. Managers lack maturity and are bullies. Respect for the individual is non existent. Their values only exist on paper.

    Advice to Management

You need to completely rehaul your work culture, respect your employees and customers. follow the excellent values you enumerate on paper

I worked at Wipro full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Some good technical capabilities and would suit those who would like to do operational roles.

    Cons

Little empowerment, internally focussed company and leadership team lack quality.

    Advice to Management

Focus on customer, enable customer facing teams to take decisions that would help improve customer satisfaction. Too many managers who are essentially gate keepers.

I have been working at Wipro full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Depending on the position within the organization and your location, Wipro is a good company to start your career in IT. It has a good level of benefits, but again it will depend in what division you are working. Great collective of people especially if you are working in Wipro's premises.

    Cons

For a person who's not working in India or perhaps in US the organization has a difficult career path with not so many openings, and although you are assigned to a technical role you're mapped in system wrongly and therefore the internal trainings available to you are quality and software control etc.

    Advice to Management

more one to one meetings between the manager and its subalterns
    more role specific trainings
more Wipro internal training over any online platform for its employees outside India

I have been working at Wipro full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Hard working people, little empires so can make a success for yourself by not helping others. Great emphasis on continuous learning.

    Cons

Poison culture of promise the client all knowing that the staff are not available to deliver. Kpis drive culture with no care for the people and very hierarchical

    Advice to Management

Please be joined up and stop silo mentality driven by departmental and personal success at expense of others in firm.
