I have been working at Wipro full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Depending on the position within the organization and your location, Wipro is a good company to start your career in IT. It has a good level of benefits, but again it will depend in what division you are working. Great collective of people especially if you are working in Wipro's premises.

    Cons

For a person who's not working in India or perhaps in US the organization has a difficult career path with not so many openings, and although you are assigned to a technical role you're mapped in system wrongly and therefore the internal trainings available to you are quality and software control etc.

    Advice to Management

more one to one meetings between the manager and its subalterns
    more role specific trainings
more Wipro internal training over any online platform for its employees outside India

I worked at Wipro full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Great Place to Learn
Very open to change of roles

    Cons

    Rigid in process
    Bad compensation
    HR is abysmal

    Advice to Management

People are not entries in excel sheet, invest and more so trust in people. If you consider them expendable, there will always be some company to grab them and beat you in the market

I worked at Wipro full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Excellent commitment to induction, I was given a week in Bangalore with meetings and interviews with lots of management and technical lead stakeholders. They are genuinely keen to help and the whole ethos is collaborative and energetic.

    Cons

Indian culture is hard to get past as a Brit. It is hard to get opinions or even input from staff if their manager is around - or if you are at a perceived higher level. Too many attendees on conference calls is hard to manage at times

    Advice to Management

Be a bit more flexible to the needs of international stakeholders

I worked at Wipro full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great people around you to work with - allows you a lot to learn from. Great place to be for sales professionals

    Cons

Quite bad salary packages, very little appreciation from management for any delivery role, which is quite taken for granted.

    Advice to Management

Need to focus more on people and less on senior managers. Too much of focus on sales and very little on deliver.
