I worked at Wisconsin Community Services part-time for more than 3 years

      Pros

Good benefits, flexible schedule (at times)

      Cons

Low pay - can not live on the income, poor management - low ethics. Had many issues with management talking down about clients and being all around rude to individuals with mental health and addiction. NOT trauma informed as an agency. Management does not always equal skill or education.

      Advice to Management

Staff is not trauma informed, disrespectful to clients. Pay is miserable. Extreme drama in some locations. If you are going to promote someone to management, at least make sure they are knowledgeable about the field. (WCS is not good at this)

I have been working at Wisconsin Community Services full-time

      Pros

The good people and what wcs stands for.

      Cons

Having a CFO that puts his business where it doesn't belong. HIGHER management that doesn't trust you and has a friend that push staff around. Directors are not trusted and are way over worked and under paid. It may be a non for profit but the CFO is continually talking about revenue. It dangerous and in a nasty part of town. Can't trust anyone in administration. Everyone is out for themselves. No chance of growth....

      Advice to Management

See what your c level excetives are doing and how they are pushing people around and pushing them out the door. This should be a place of love and compassion not cut throat do this or else. Departments will keep going through people as long as you keep letting Your c level excetives keep pushing people around.

I have been working at Wisconsin Community Services full-time for more than 8 years

      Pros

The hours and Holidays off are a bonus. The benefits are good.

      Cons

Pay increases yearly don't cover cost of living. Everyone gets the mandatory pay increase whether your a great worker or not.

      Advice to Management

To keep great employees you have to show them their hard work is appreciated.
