I worked at Wissahickon School District full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great building Principal very high expectations and demanding but fair and appreciative of the extra work and contributions to the building.

    Cons

Administrators not in the building at the "Administration Building" out of touch, see you as a number and not for all of your dedication and above and beyond hours put in for the success of students, communication with parents and support to other staff members. District recognized for your creativity and achievements, to only be passed over for position that your direct administrator fought for you to get and well deserved, to see an acquaintance of top administrators be placed in positions when they have not been previously employed by the district.

    Advice to Management

Take a closer look to really understand what your teachers and staff contribute, as individuals and not as an employee number and what is on paper a resume, to the success of the students and your district before you pass over a wonderful dedicated employee for a position, in-order to hire a friend of someone.
