    Pros

    Cons

Long hours during busy season, but that is to be expected

I worked at WithumSmith + Brown full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Most of the management seems to care about their employees - Growth potential - Great CEO - Not so competitive but ok salary and CPA bonus

    Cons

    - Partner in charge of outsourcing department is very rude and arrogant. She talks down to her employees and although she acts like her door is always open, she does not want to listen to her employees' concerns or feedback. But sure, you are a partner and I'm not. I decided to leave the company because of her. She needs to learn how to respect her employees and treat them like adults. - No CPA reimbursement but they offer loans to buy CPA materials -Office politics and favoritism - Unnecessary trainings -Not enough work/clients to go around but they still expect you to somehow have 40 billable hours every week

    Pros

The firm genuinely cares about its team members by providing dinners during busy season and allowing flexible working hours.

    Cons

Other than providing discounts on CPA courses, the firm can establish a CPA team that coach and guide CPA Exam takers.

I have been working at WithumSmith + Brown full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Care about their Employees Reward good achievement Trust their knowledge Flexible Starting a new job in the middle of a pandemic is not easy but Withum made it a breeze. Everyone was so receptive, and easy to talk to about any questions I had. I have not felt like a number at all. I feel like they actually care when I talk. And they do care about social issues. It isn't just a lie to get some in the door. You can talk to people about how you feel and not be judged.

    Cons

Nothing so far. They have been great.

I have been working at WithumSmith + Brown full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Niche based, Flexibility in working from home, Mentoring, Career Coach program, Business Development program, Benefits, 401(k) match

    Cons

Disappointing salary and bonus, billable hours determine everything, a lot of office politics, the culture has changed in the past 10 years and is highly focused on realization and billable hours

    WithumSmith + Brown Response

    Chief Talent Officer

Thank you for your review. In terms of compensation, this is not only determined by billable hours and realization but also practice development/marketing, goal attainment, tenure/job performance and being an overall good citizen at Withum. During this pandemic, we have seen a lot of appreciation coming from our team members who are thankful to have a job, receive a raise and a bonus while many of our competitors have decided to skip them. This speaks volumes about our culture, but I invite you to reach out if you have other concerns.

I have been working at WithumSmith + Brown full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Having joined Withum right before the pandemic hit, I was very concerned with how that would affect me and my position. But Withum was forthcoming and transparent from Day 1. Our CEO hosts regularly scheduled Town Halls to give us any updates and address questions and concerns live. And when there was a lot of uncertainty about whether there'd be cuts, we were guaranteed our jobs through the end of June. That was an incredible relief for this newbie as I'm sure it was for everyone in the company. And it showed me how committed Withum is to it's people and their wellbeing. I am proud to have had joined such a strong culture.

    Cons

Every company has perceived negatives but so far I haven't seen them.
