I worked at Wonderful Sales full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fun brands, nice LA office location, company cafeteria, networking

    Cons

Toxic. Most people who work here are unhappy and not afraid to share. This is the kind of place where people take anti-anxiety meds before executive meetings. High employee turnover - as an anomaly, the fact that I worked and stayed there constantly astounds most people who know the company well. Everyone knows the reputation so if you have to ask you're probably not from LA. And the good reviews here are from the HR team who need to boost the recruiting process since there's no one else locally who's interested in working there. Corporate positioning about sustainability is pure BS and lip service - just look into Justin Wines. And if that is BS, then you know what is listed here about employee benefits is lip service too.

    Advice to Management

Change the way you treat your employees, although you probably won't.

    Pros

Great people. Good pay and benefits.

    Cons

No direction from executive team. you get cryptic advice from several different directions and conflicting direction from upper management. Better pick the proper direction or you will either be fired or asked to resign.

    Advice to Management

Spend more time talking to your leadership team instead of using a swim or drown method.

I have been working at Wonderful Sales full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Reasonable pay, benefits. That's about it.

    Cons

Awful experience. I have never been so micromanaged in my life. Management trusts nothing that is done by subordinates. They follow behind when you are working sometimes to check your work. Tell you that you are always wrong. No accountability for actions by management. Everyone is just trying to cover their butt and they openly admit that. They lose people with good talent because of their lack of respect-- like me.

    Advice to Management

Perhaps firing your dense VPs would help solve the issue. It is shocking that the owners actually think these guys are worth something. These men are old and their techniques and ideas are extremely outdated.

If you have bad VPs you will have bad area managers, bad district managers, bad regional managers, bad merchandisers. You get the picture.

Open your eyes people and start making the right decisions for your company, you could be doing so much better than you are.

    Pros

Decent Pay full benefits, company car and ipad

    Cons

    LA politics at its best
Management treats you like an uneducated second class citizen Never wanting any opinions or advice on anything

Expected to sell like a door to door salesmen instead of a B2B fashion

Are allowed and expected to sell at corporate level with out without pay, title recognition and reward for performing those tasks

management is allowed to slack off while everyone under are made to feel as if they are under performing even if numbers are good

Your leaders will throw you under the bus as soon as the heats on and are never there to back you up when there's issues with accounts.

They will plan your every move and expect you to complete every project within the working week no admin time.

    Advice to Management

Stop thinking you know it all

I worked at Wonderful Sales full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, company car, gym reimbursement, company iPad & phone. All expenses reimburse on company trips. Work remote from home couple days a week. Work days go by really fast.

    Cons

Work life balance was uneven, most people work way more than 8hrs. a day and even on the weekends. This company mostly favors women so if your a man it can be a challenge.

    Advice to Management

Provide more face time instead of communicating everything through email and expecting employees to read minds.

I worked at Wonderful Sales full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good resume experience in order to find a better company....build your resume and move on before the pay and great benefits suck you in.

    Cons

Senior Staff is stuck in the 50s...mixed messages from HR, office employees not valued, women preyed upon not promoted - . and if you did get preyed up on, you disappear. No mentoring, no career paths, no support of middle management for employees because they are too afraid of senior staff and not being a "team player". The place is just weird and run by good ol boys. Favoritism is rampant.

    Advice to Management

Lose the condescending attitudes and recognize that all departments are valuable to the success of the company.
