I worked at Wonderful Sales full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good hours, good pay, good benefits. Good job to have if you have an active family, no nights, weekends, holidays.

    Cons

Few opportunities to advance if that is your goal. Management promotes who they like vs. who is actually qualified. Have started to only hire millennials, cheap and young.

    Advice to Management

I understand the need to keep costs down, but not the expense of having to keep hiring over and over again because of only hiring young people.

I worked at Wonderful Sales full-time

    Pros

    Good brands
Company Car (but not the embarrassing graphics)

    Cons

Unfair pay scale. Many with less responsibility are paid as much as 10K more. Feedback doesn't go any higher than your supervisor. Upper management acts as if they care but issues and concerns are dismissed. An email was actually sent out to post positive responses on this site. Managing with a "Napoleon" style doesn't work especially the excessive micro managing.

    Advice to Management

Have a fair pay scale. New hires shouldn't be paid the same (or much hire) than employees that have been with the company a couple years.

    Pros

I loved my job duties, people I worked with company and in accounts. This is one of the best jobs I have had. I leave with nothing but great thoughts and experiences!

    Cons

Salary- not really a con but could be better. Hard work should pay off a bit better in my opinion.

    Advice to Management

Continue to Appreciate....just a few words go such a long way

I worked at Wonderful Sales full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fun brands, nice LA office location, company cafeteria, networking

    Cons

Toxic. Most people who work here are unhappy and not afraid to share. This is the kind of place where people take anti-anxiety meds before executive meetings. High employee turnover - as an anomaly, the fact that I worked and stayed there constantly astounds most people who know the company well. Everyone knows the reputation so if you have to ask you're probably not from LA. And the good reviews here are from the HR team who need to boost the recruiting process since there's no one else locally who's interested in working there. Corporate positioning about sustainability is pure BS and lip service - just look into Justin Wines. And if that is BS, then you know what is listed here about employee benefits is lip service too.

    Advice to Management

Change the way you treat your employees, although you probably won't.

I have been working at Wonderful Sales full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Reasonable pay, benefits. That's about it.

    Cons

Awful experience. I have never been so micromanaged in my life. Management trusts nothing that is done by subordinates. They follow behind when you are working sometimes to check your work. Tell you that you are always wrong. No accountability for actions by management. Everyone is just trying to cover their butt and they openly admit that. They lose people with good talent because of their lack of respect-- like me.

    Advice to Management

Perhaps firing your dense VPs would help solve the issue. It is shocking that the owners actually think these guys are worth something. These men are old and their techniques and ideas are extremely outdated.

If you have bad VPs you will have bad area managers, bad district managers, bad regional managers, bad merchandisers. You get the picture.

Open your eyes people and start making the right decisions for your company, you could be doing so much better than you are.
