Wonolo is Great!
Mar 13, 2023 - Senior Manager of DevOps in Sandy, UTRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Wonolo has a great culture. I've worked for companies where you feel siloed and that your opinion isn't heard. I think that Wonolo strives to hear peoples opinions and provide opportunity for people to interact. Wonolo hires top notch engineers and they are always trying to help each other out. There are monthly lunch and learns where experts share information on various topics. The values of the company make sense and they are called the Tao. We often use the Tao values to help promote a positive place to work.
Cons
I see no cons and I would recommend Wonolo to anyone looking for a good place to work.

Pros
Wonolo is a small-ish startup that's not just looking at the bottom line, but genuinely cares about its users. This is reflected in almost all company-wide communications, meetings, and in their Tao's.
Cons
Over the past year or so Wonolo has grown quite a bit, and with it there have been more and more decisions that feel more corporate, especially from a people team/HR standpoint. A lot more "the top says this is the way it's going to be" decisions and less of an open discussion around why things need to change (or stay the same).

Wonderful, Compassionate Place to Work
Mar 2, 2023 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Wonolo is full of very passionate people. Employees seem to really want to help each other out. Wonolo is still growing quite a bit and it is fun to be able to shape the company, strategy, and product. The fast paced environment makes coming to work exciting.
Cons
Wonolo is a fully remote workplace. It can be hard to get to know all of your coworkers. It can also be a little more challenging to learn in a remote-first company.

Amazing place to work!
Jul 5, 2022 - Account Manager in Nashville, TNRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
From my first day working at Wonolo, I've been blown away with the incredible culture that exists here. It can be challenging to keep culture at the forefront within a fast paced, remote-first environment; however, our People and Leadership teams go out of their way to create opportunities for employees to engage with one another, whether through team /company off sites, local happy hours, and virtual events. Management is very transparent and from our CEO down, you get a strong sense that everyone here is invested in seeing you become successful. I've never felt micromanaged and feel empowered to make decisions within my role. From Day 1, you will feel supported by your teammates and cross-functional teams. Our teams are collaborative, diverse, and they are built to GSD (Get Stuff Done). We love to have fun, but we also take our work seriously and are invested in seeing Wonolo reach its full potential. I strongly encourage anyone that's even remotely interested in Wonolo, our mission, staffing, or Tech to consider applying to available roles with the company...you won't be disappointed with what you uncover during your interview experience.
Cons
As can be expected within a high growth start-up, you must be comfortable with change and do well in a fast-paced environment. We are constantly adapting to meet the needs of the market place, which requires a mix of both flexibility and patience as well as a GSD mentality. If you struggle with change, Wonolo might not be the best fit for you at this time.

By FAR the Best Place to Work.
Jun 16, 2022 - Senior Full Stack Engineer in San Francisco, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- Amazing team: Brilliance across the organization. Very high bar for proficiency and character. Cannot stress enough how much I love my coworkers. - Transparency: You are alway in the know about everything in the company (including finance, direction, plans, and so on) . There are no barriers to information. You can ask you CEO/CTO/whoever any question and they will take the time to earnestly address it directly. - Rewarding work: Talking to the workers on the platform and realizing the impact you are having on their lives is something special - Modern Tech Stack. New technologies are always fun to play with and we continently push the envelope for best tech + practices. We have a lot of expertise across every facet and it's nice to always have someone to lean on, even when you're doing foundational work.
Cons
- We crack so many jokes at standup sometimes my sides hurt from laughing. - Lack of office means that I can't go to the kitchen and take cases of Spindrift home - 0 commute time means I listen to less audible books. On the real... I think there are still startupy growing pains that come with scaling. While our processes are solid, there is still a lot that need so be figured out as the team grows in terms of best ways to communicate, plan etc. But honestly I'm grasping at straw here...
