I worked at Wood Group PSN (More than 3 years)

    Pros

WGPSN held very high ethical standards and encouraged management to adhere to universal principles. This was when Bob Keiller was CEO.

    Cons

High degree of cronyism and nepotism amongst Scottish leaders. If you are not Scottish your advancement is limited at best.

    Advice to Management

Use locals to run local businesses rather than expensive expats with preferential salaries and benefits. Hard to make a cohesive team when you are not one of the club.

I worked at Wood Group PSN (Less than a year)

    Pros

Going offshore didn't feel like I was away from home. The people I worked with were helpful, and I really learned about the oilfield and the time that goes into it from an operating standpoint.

    Cons

There is nothing that I can really say poorly about this company. I was treated with the utmost respect while employed with them.

    Advice to Management

Continue to do what you've been doing. You will have many long-term employees with that way you are operating your company at this point.

    Pros

    Good pay and Great hours

    Cons

Away from home two weeks. Also when to working on a platform owned by another company Wood Group forgets about you. You are under the rule of the owner of the platform. Which is the way it should be but, I haven't heard from The WG in 6 months.
