I worked at Wood Group PSN (More than 3 years)

    Pros

WGPSN held very high ethical standards and encouraged management to adhere to universal principles. This was when Bob Keiller was CEO.

    Cons

High degree of cronyism and nepotism amongst Scottish leaders. If you are not Scottish your advancement is limited at best.

    Advice to Management

Use locals to run local businesses rather than expensive expats with preferential salaries and benefits. Hard to make a cohesive team when you are not one of the club.

Work is always there when you needed it. Woodgroup matches up to 6% towards retirement. I get 100 vacation hours event if I work a 14&14 and paid holidays only when you at at work.

    Cons

Long days at least 12 hours a day of time you are at work. I have missed many holidays cause I was offshore. Wish they would do more training to help advance there employees

    Advice to Management

Set up a program where people can learn more about production and make training more relevant towards our job. Not just some slideshow with questions.
