I worked at Wood Group PSN (Less than a year)

    Pros

Going offshore didn't feel like I was away from home. The people I worked with were helpful, and I really learned about the oilfield and the time that goes into it from an operating standpoint.

    Cons

There is nothing that I can really say poorly about this company. I was treated with the utmost respect while employed with them.

    Advice to Management

Continue to do what you've been doing. You will have many long-term employees with that way you are operating your company at this point.

    Pros

The best reasons to work for Wood Group PSN is ALL of them. Wood Group has always taken care of their employees as if they were family not just numbers. They paid for my education, raised me up through the career path of my choice, and groomed me to be an integral part of their team. They have over 17 different divisions in over 60 countries and remain a strong force in the oil and gas industry. I strongly recommend Wood Group PSN to anyone interested in a great and challenging career, excellent benefits, and a team of gifted personnel looking out for you and your family.

    Cons

Interoffice communications need improvement although still possitive.

I worked at Wood Group PSN as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

The travel and accommodations were incredible. The people I worked for and with were first class people in every respect. The students were motivated and enthusiastic learners. The scenery was amazing and all things considered I would recommend this experience to everyone.

    Cons

Being away from home for 28 days at a time can be tough at times. However the people you get to work with are extremely helpful and make you feel at home as much as possible.

    Advice to Management

The room and board accommodations were nice. I would recommend that the company bring back an employee cafeteria. Shopping and cooking for oneself is hard to do in such a far away place. That time could be better spent creating exciting and interactive lessons for the students.
