    Pros

small firm, with good people who know their areas well. Challenging work that is fairly compensated; interesting area to practice in.

    Cons

work flow ebbs and flows; not always given feedback that is helpful - may be told nothing and later find out that a partner was not happy with the work.

    Pros

Great paid leave time policy, decent salaries, very friendly staff, nice building, great location, great work material (patents and trademarks). Despite some recent instability, there's actually decent job security and a lot of good people. There's a friendly, collaborative atmosphere and people genuinely want to help each other.

    Cons

Some lawyers have pride and arrogance issues. Shocking, I know! It's only a handful of bad apples, but they really punish all the good folks and can be quite disrespectful to the staff.
Getting downtown can be a pain, so take that into account before you start, especially if you intend to try parking on the street.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to work together for the greater good of the entire firm instead of your own enlightened self-interest. The decisions you make affect a lot of people!
