I have been working at Woodbury University part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You have a lot of autonomy in teaching the subject matter of your classes, and your chair really cares about your teaching success.

    Cons

Insecurity of teaching for only one semester at a time.

I worked at Woodbury University part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Small class size, correspondence between classes so that curriculums reinforce eachother

    Cons

Fashion Department not very serious in administration, and has a lot of changes

I worked at Woodbury University part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Excellent experience and work environment. There was plenty to learn and work toward. The hours were flexible to my class schedule.

    Cons

There are no cons to this position. It was my job to assist peers and their projects when the time came.

I have been working at Woodbury University part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nice environment, helpful supervisors and friendly employees.

    Cons

Inactivity in terms of assisting student needs at times.

    Advice to Management

Make sure everyone is doing their job, and don't put workers who are unable to do a certain job on it.

I have been working at Woodbury University full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

They pay 100% of employee's insurance. Employee's dependent/ dependents, forget it. Insurance rates are sky high. Great cafeteria - good food, good atmosphere! Beautiful campus; lovely to be outside.

    Cons

C level university at best, which is why their enrollment is drastically down. Finally got rid of the big money salaried administration. But that is actually a plus! Little vision, little direction. Half the staff all attended the University so they've never had any other work experience. Some divisions better than others. Student service though - nasty to students, nasty to each other. HR protects only interest of the University, not employees.

    Advice to Management

    Start listening to your employees.

I worked at Woodbury University (More than a year)

    Pros

-During my shifts, acting mostly autonomously with very little supervisor oversight.
-If there was an issue a lab tech didn't know, and the supervisors were available, they'd be willing to help you out.

    Cons

-Very little training. Training consisted of basic knowledge of Most of the knowledge I had to pick up was on the job,
-Supervisors would be unavailable during night shifts. Meaning that if a lab tech had a question during this time period, no one would be available to answer those questions.

I have been working at Woodbury University full-time

    Pros

Absolutely great culture, helpful staff, school of architecture staff are nice, a family environment, I can't complain! Sad to see negative comment about HR, for me that's the best resource we have in campus, always helpful and professional! (Well, some employees may be angry/upset due to their own issues).

    Cons

Want to see more energetic atmosphere..

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work!

I have been working at Woodbury University (More than a year)

    Pros

Location, relaxed environment. Trying to update systems and procedures. Comfortable dress code, good art school and good professors. Good parking.

    Cons

HR is horrible. Plays favoritism at the highest level. Shares inappropriate information with other employees. Admissions has low moral and staff is not organized or knowledgeable. They promote an environment which adds to workplace harrassment and racism.

    Advice to Management

Clean out HR and promote a team based department with mature, knowledgeable individuals.
