I have been working at Woodforest National Bank full-time for more than a year

    Pros

-Thorough and comprehensive training -Monthly incentive bonus -Not overloaded with financial products to sell

    Cons

-Upper management very hands-off when issues arise -Long hours -Benefits could be better

    Advice to Management

Wages could be higher for the amount of responsibilities bankers have, and regional management needs to be more hands on with their branch managers and know what's going on in their branches, even if branches are doing well in sales

I have been working at Woodforest National Bank full-time

    Pros

Good entry level position in the financial industry.

    Cons

Long hours, I pay 400 per pay period for health insurance for myself husband and two kids (one 15, one graduating), high turnover, no one to cover in emergencies because most of the region is short staffed, they only worry about acquiring new accounts.

Current Employee - RECONCILIATION SPECIALIST in The Woodlands, TX

I have been working at Woodforest National Bank full-time

    Pros

Great benefits, great hours, no weekends, all holidays off, cafe to take breaks, come and go as you please in the sense that if you need to step away you can. Able to listen to music while working to tune out the commotion of other depts around you.

    Cons

Because the dept is a critical dept it sometimes requires long hours and stressful periods just like any position in any company. There are cliques and sometimes unprofessional attitudes. The training is hit or miss depending on who is training you on a particular function.

    Advice to Management

Try not to focus on the little things like tardiness. Be more present and available for your employees.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Woodforest National Bank full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Coworkers were fun to work with.

    Cons

Long hours, Not paid enough for the amount of work, Working 8 plus days straight, Management basically sucks, Lots of favoritism towards employees by upper management, A few of the Managers in Georgia are very rude and will speak down on you lie on you and try to demean your character, IF you let them, unruly customers are often sided with making the employees look bad.

    Advice to Management

Don’t let the job title get to your head, spend more time at the branch. If it weren’t for your hardworking employees you wouldn’t be getting your bonuses and recognition.
