    Pros

Large company but it feels small. Good people to work with and everyone is helpful. Company is growing and getting bigger.

    Cons

Because the company is spread out over multiple distribution centers there are multiple people you work with that you never meet.

    Advice to Management

Focus on employee retention rather than retraining new people. Benifit package is good but need to provide a more clear career path to some.

I worked at Woodgrain Distribution full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Freedom without a lot of micro-management.

    Cons

Politics, very weak management team, a lot of complacency, really bad customer service, very little accountability to people in the office, all accountability is about sales numbers with many obstacles internally such as; running out of stock, quality control, missed delivery, delivery damage and too many people internally that are set in their ways. A lot of repeated errors internally.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on the people seeing your customers and customer service. Accountability should include internal obstacles and challenges.

I worked at Woodgrain Distribution full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Woodgrain Distribution gives you plenty of opportunities to grow in the company. Woodgrain is very family oriented. They are always helpful in every area.

    Cons

Woodgrain's warehouse was not up to par. The warehouse was not insulated with air or heat. So we had to work in the freezing cold or the extreme heat. It was constantly wild animal running through out the warehouse.

    Advice to Management

Woodgrain Management was very understandable. They put you first as a employee. If they see you struggling in a area they will get training in that area.
