I worked at Woodgrain Millwork full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Was allowed to listen to music while working. They had decent benefits.

    Cons

Too much Micromanagement happening. Too much of a workload. I would do all the reports, and credit for that work went to General MGR.

    Advice to Management

Let people do their jobs and stop micromanaging. You must trust them, because you put them in the spot they are in.

I worked at Woodgrain Millwork full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are very little Pros about this place, i worked here from 2008-2010, i had a good manager before she decided to leave. Thats about it.

    Cons

The salary was very sub par about 2/3 less than the market as a Systems Engineer, the CIO Connie was an executive Assistant who they for some reason promoted in IT when her knowledge was lacking. The leadership had no idea what they were doing, In relation to IT.

    Advice to Management

Hire someone with actual experience in IT leadership, pay your good people the money they deserve, pay what the market demands.

I have been working at Woodgrain Millwork full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great group of people to work with. Annual bonus. Interesting machinery and contraptions. Creativity and ingenuity is encouraged. Interesting mix of old proven technology with new. 1970 meets 2014 - it's a trip!

    Cons

Dusty environment outside corporate office (it's a wood mill!), benefits could be better. Family owned company so they do things their own way, which can be frustrating at times. Headquartered in Fruitland, Idaho which is in the middle of nowhere.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing!
