    Pros

Learn a lot, diversity of patients and immigrants, good schedule when you become a senior. Fully supported by attendings.

I worked at Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Truly a great environment to learn because you'll be thrown in headfirst and will have to sink or swim. I am honestly grateful for my experience at Woodhull because of this, but there are far better employers, even within HHC (Bellevue, Jacobi, Harlem, etc.)

    Cons

It's so broken, nobody knows where to begin to fix it, and so nobody really cares to see it succeed. It's just a paycheck to most people.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees, create an environment of collaboration, not blame. Act like you are NOT a city hospital.

I have been working at Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Try as I might, I can't really think of any other than experience. If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere.

    Cons

Management is terrible, favoritism (friends help friends get positions regardless of qualifications or none), always a staff shortage, which equals to way too much work and not enough pay. Very "ghetto" behavior displayed by employees. They are very rude.

    Advice to Management

Brush up on management skills please!! Use your resources and time a little more wisely.
