I worked at Woodlands Church part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

When I worked at the Fellowship of the Woodlands, I enjoyed coming to work each day because of my personable managers and friendly co-workers. The managers are understanding, so if you work a second job or have a family to take care of they are good at making proper schedule accommodations. I'd especially recommend working for the Fellowship of the Woodlands if you're a high school or college student who's never had a job before, because the managers and employees do a great job at training you on site. They're also not intimidating, and when I worked there I believed they genuinely wanted me to become the best I could at my job.

    Cons

I have nothing bad to say about this company. My time working for them was pleasant and uplifting.

    Pros

    Generally pleasant people / coworkers
Experience will depend on department head

    Cons

    Control Issues with higher ups
Little to no recognition as well as low pay rates, particularly for women
    Many last minute changes
    Favoritism very clear
    Workload between departments varies enormously
Mandatory weekly staff devotional was a giant time suck and ego stroke for the same rotation of pastors.

    Advice to Management

Value and respect your loyal / established employees and you might see less turnover. Place people with actual knowledge as department heads. Let your creative people be creative. Recognize for jobs well done, regardless of last name or member status.

Making the head Pastor a little more accessible could go a long way. Value people's time. If you schedule to meet at 1:00, be there at least reasonably close to that time.

Conduct exit interviews instead of ignoring those who resign.

I worked at Woodlands Church full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

NOTHING better than working for a wonderful church!

    Cons

HARD work (paid salary) with lots of hours and never a pay increase.

    Advice to Management

Having a pastor over an area doesn't mean he is doing a good job. Pay attention to your lower employees - when the passion is gone, there may be a problem.

    Pros

Positive work environment, Grew in skills and knowledge of production and lighting, great managers, easy to wok out a schedule with, decent pay for time spent.

    Cons

It was a bit of a drive from most know civilization, Could easily get monotonous, paid by job not by hour so some employees would take longer making you have to stay longer.

I worked at Woodlands Church part-time

    Pros

Good people to work with, very caring and kind. Generous with pay. Good environment, they won't push you harder than you can go.

    Cons

The job I did was very strenuous, though not all jobs there are, I'm sure. Location causes it to be very hot, so if you work outside at all in the summer, it can be rough.
