I worked at Woods Equipment Company full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Caring people who want the company to succeed and do a great job. I worked there almost 10 years and when I left most of the people in my department were there longer than I was. Obviously the turnover is minimal and that says a lot for a company. Also, it wasn't uncommon for a person to leave the company but then come back. You don't see that at many companies. If you're thinking of working at Woods - go for it. You won't be sorry.

    Cons

I really can't think of any.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing!

I worked at Woods Equipment Company full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The employees are the greatest and have a dedication to the product they make that is second to none. They take pride in their product and it shows. New management team appears to have it together and it's a great place to work again.

    Cons

Business was not good under previous senior management team. Layoffs and furloughs were occurring and it was sad to see this great company heading in such a dire direction.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees with the dignity they deserve. Remember they make the product that makes the business and they are very proud of the job they do.

    Pros

There are many ways a person can contribute to help the company. If you have the ability management was receptive to improving things.

    Cons

Employees were expected to make sacrifices without a full understanding of what was going on. It would have been nice to have a better understanding of the big picture.

    Advice to Management

Share more information with the employees. Don't be afraid of change.

    Pros

Great employees and a fun place to work. Middle Management seems to care about their people. Pay and Benefits were pretty decent.

    Cons

Senior Management does not have a clue what they are doing and don't seem to care about the common man.

I worked at Woods Equipment Company full-time

    Pros

    Great work environment.
    Interesting product line.
The culture was unique, work got done with a concern for quality and deadlines, yet the environment stayed positive and fun to work in.

    Cons

The company has changed ownership hands many times and it is a bit concerning as to what the future holds.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the focus on the employee. This company showed it is concerned with the well being of the employee, always trying new ways to better the work life balance. Some work, some don't, but seeing the effort put forth is great.
