I have been working at Woodward Academy (GA) full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Woodward Academy employs a diverse group of employees and works hard to make everyone feel included. I believe that the President/Headmaster has a heart for people and it shows all over the campus. It's a pleasure to come and work here each and every day.

    Cons

There are no downsides to working here.

    Advice to Management

Continue making your employees feel like they are a part of the Woodward family

I have been working at Woodward Academy (GA) full-time

    Pros

Everyone is very genuine and cares a lot for everyone in the community. Administration considers the feelings and opinions of the employees there and there are generous compensations and benefits.

    Cons

They are slow moving about progressive ideas; it is a school after all. Not a lot of opportunities to move up within your field because people never leave.

    Pros

The leaders are interested and facilitate employee growth and professional learning. Employees are encouraged to grow and update their practice. Top AJC workplace for 5 years in a row for a reason!

    Cons

I truly cannot think of any cons about working for Woodward Academy. While every place has it's issues and no place is perfect, the grass is definitely not greener on the other side.

    Advice to Management

Keep investing in your teachers and your staff. The investment is the reason people stay so long. Do not change a thing!

I worked at Woodward Academy (GA) full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Students are the best aspect of the institution. The are diverse on many levels. I have learned a great deal from them through the years about religion, history, and culture.

    Cons

The administrative hierarchy has grow to a point where input from parents, students and teachers in minimized.

    Advice to Management

Acknowledge that the diverse community deserves to be asked to be involved in policy making and they should be listened to; their diversity brings a cornucopia of ideas that the homogeneous administration lacks.
