I have been working at Wooga part-time (Less than a year)
Pros
Wooga is one of the companies for which a good company culture is of great importance, starting from professional onboarding to feedback rounds and cross-departmental cooperation. There is a lot of emphasis on making everybody feel seen.
Cons
I have nothing to mention
I have been working at Wooga full-time
Pros
Wooga is a very nice company. The workplace is really comfortable and it provide a very nice relocation package. It makes me feel good to be here and the colleague here are willing to share knowledge and willing to help. It's a nice place.
Cons
Berlin rains a lot in winter. But I think it will get better when summer comes.

I have been working at Wooga full-time (More than 5 years)
Pros
- Nice atmosphere
- Leisure work conditions
Cons
- You have to fight hard for fair compensation
- Communication is not really good
- Very political
Advice to Management
Play fair with long term employees, can't be that new employees earn more then people working there for 5+ years
I have been working at Wooga full-time (Less than a year)
Pros
Upon arrival in the company, I was pleasantly welcomed and went through a series of complete and thorough introduction workshops.
Wooga is a company that obviously cares about its employees well-being, and is very reactive and democratic on their given feedback.
Cons
I haven't noticed anything so far.
Advice to Management
Keeping Wooga's environment as comfortable as it already is.

I have been working at Wooga full-time (More than 3 years)
Pros
The games industry is broken so Wooga seems decent by comparison to the terrible treatment rampant across the industry because they throw parties and decorate the office
Cons
-Thinks it's okay to pay people less than the industry standard because Berlin is a "cheap" place to live (getting gentrified/more expensive), offer no other financial incentives for success
-Career growth maxes out qiuckly and leaves you with no choice but to take on middle management
-Constantly switching tracks on company vision resulting in layoffs and bad atmosphere
Advice to Management
Pay your people better so you retain talent, pick a direction on vision, its no wonder you can't fill open hires

Pros

Advice to Management
Keep focusing on teams over products, its working
I worked at Wooga full-time (More than 3 years)
Pros
Great teams; nice perks; relatively diverse; open; friendly.
Cons
Debatable corporate strategy and an open office that is easily a distraction
I have been working at Wooga full-time (More than 3 years)
Pros
- Very committed, humane and approachable CEO
- Constantly attracts great people, having them as colleagues makes it an amazing place to work
- On the contrary to what other review might state, you DO get rewarded for hard work
- Awesome office with great facilities, lunches, drinks, workshops and sports-activities
- Working here feels like being part of a family
- Live in Berlin!
Cons
After a pretty huge mistake of giving the wrong people the responsibility of restructuring the entire Marketing and Operations teams, and another restructuring to make up for this, Wooga is back and shooting for the stars once again.
Morale is still recovering from these turbulent times though, which can still be felt in the office.
Advice to Management
Double down on success, remember the past mistakes of over-commitment but don't be afraid to be invest aggressively when the opportunities are there.
I have been working at Wooga (More than a year)
Pros
* Trust and opportunities to learn, grow, and participate in a multitude of projects. Enthusiasm and expertise are valued.
* A recent shift towards story-driven games that bears a lot of potential for success in the future, and a strong growth after some difficult times. The mood is pretty optimistic
* Progressive company values and genuine efforts towards minority inclusion and representativity (which doesn't solve every social issue magically, but helps foster a good atmosphere)
* Focus on employee care and comfortable \ friendly work environment
* A single office in a really great city :)
Cons
* There is still a lot of work to heal from many restructurations in the recent past
* The culture is definitely closer to a game developer than a publisher, which has many upsides but also poses specific integration & communication challenges for publishing positions . Be ready for it.
I have been working at Wooga full-time (More than a year)
Pros
- The best onboarding for new employees that I have ever seen.
- They really seem to care about their employees.
- Fantastic opportunities to learn and grow. (With mentors, lunch speakers, workshops, even an education budget to pay for trips to conferences!)
- Creative freedom
Cons
- There were some issues when I joined the company a year ago, and a few months later there was a layoff and restructuring. But since then the company has improved a lot.
Salaries can be a bit on the low side, for new employees, but other than that I have no complaints.
