I worked at Woori Investment & Securities Asia full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Job security. Iron rice bowl is still in effect at Woori.

    Cons

Too much internal politicking and kowtowing. Analysts in research center are conflicted, trying to serve multiple masters. Result is extremely conservative, consensus-hugging, overworked analysts churning out mediocre work. Despite that, there are a few good guys scattered about doing decent work.

    Advice to Management

Give your workers more flexibility and let them pursue their individual initiative. Stop trying to micromanage everything.
