I have been working at Workday full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Company is great and cares about experience workers are having. Fun, innovative culture. Company growth is steady.

    Cons

Need to get on the right team. LDP/Workday Ready is a nightmare, steer clear. Other teams seem to have a great tech culture, flexibility etc.

    Advice to Management

Maximize anonymous 360 feedback. Create better long term career paths and flexibility.

I have been working at Workday full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

An incredible product (even our competitors say so) and an even better culture! Doesn't compare to other companies I've worked for. Growth opportunity was very important to me and Workday has supported this 100% as I've grown 3 levels and moved cross-functionally in the 4 years I've worked here.

    Cons

All the success means a lot of activity. Some weeks can get pretty busy, travelling to 2+ cities to meet with prospects. This ebbs and flows but, in the thick of it, if can wear on you.

    Advice to Management

Keep listening to your employees and customers! As we grow, don't lose sight of the core values the company was founded upon.

I have been working at Workday full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Good work-life balance. Everyone's really chill and carefree. I'm supposedly on a hardcore team, but it's not so bad.
    - Unlimited PTO (with manager discretion). People typically take ~20 days of PTO a year
    - No company is free of politics, but it's not too bad here.

    Cons

    - No technical growth for QA engineers.
    - Very little growth for Software Devs - a lot of proprietary tools and languages.
    - Low challenges.

I have been working at Workday full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good work life balance and one of the top silicon valley company to work with.

    Cons

Promotions and hiring is almost becoming depends on manager instead of deserving candidates. This will ultimately make employees leave the company.

    Advice to Management

Need to hire dynamic management from market revolutionary companies instead we are getting people from old school companies who worked entire life in same companies this doesn't help workday to save its culture from being ruined.

I have been working at Workday full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great work/life balance
Values employee satisfaction & building good culture
    Very successful product in marketplace
    Great investment in training programs

    Cons

Decisions do not get made, things are painfully slow to get approved
    Bureaucratic environment
    B-caliber executive team
    Below market pay
    Poor mid-level management
Lack of ability to continue training/support programs after completion
Over-commitment to customers means product delivery is falling way behind
For a company of the size and magnitude of Workday, there is a lack of structure in processes
No bonus incentive for FTE's in most orgs

    Advice to Management

Providing value to customers and employees is great, but are you really listening to what is going on day-to-day within the organization? Culture is suffering as the company begins to grow at such a fast rate, don't become another bloated enterprise company.

    Pros

    - Lots of smart people
    - Fun work
    - Good location

    Cons

    - Culture has gotten so bad they're reverting to brainwashing us into thinking it's good

    Advice to Management

An entire company meeting trying to make us feel like we're focused on making a great culture? Really? Actions speak louder than words.
