    Pros

You get to work in the Airport and meet all kinds of people, even celebrities.

    Cons

Moving up in management may take more than 5-10 years if you are a supervisor. I hardly saw anyone moving up the ladder as a superviosr.

I have been working at World Duty Free full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It is a clean working situation and some of the staff that is non-family are very friendly. It is a remodeled old building that is very nice.

    Cons

No where to go. The Founder, CEO, President, CFO, Director, everyone in management is from one immediate family. If you have a problem with your direct supervisor, don't complain as you will be complaining to the son or daughter or father. They will stick together if it means lying. You will be fired or demoted as they do practice retaliation tactics.

    Advice to Management

You desperately need to hire someone that is not in your family to run an HR department. Currently, there are many people with complaints but everyone that does not share your Sunday dinners is afraid to speak up. So they take whatever you dish out in order to keep their jobs. The pay differences between family and others is criminal.

    Pros

Great coworkers and laid back environment.
Reasonable work hours - you can choose to be part time or full time based on your lifestyle
Provide benefits i.e. Health insurance, 401k, discounts for merchandise

    Cons

    Management is terrible:
    - They don't like to take responsibility of many things so any work that requires lifting, they will not do it.
    - upper management does not know how to communicate with employees, will have to communicate with HR all the time to discuss any inquiries and issues.
    - their solution to any miscommunication is to write up the employee

Great Company to work for. It's hard to find companies that invest in their employees and promote from within, so it's great to have hard work pay off! Good benefits and perks, friendly environment.

    Cons

Too many acquisitions in the past few years.
