I have been working at World Travel Holdings full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There is much enthusiasm from trainers. They were great and so was my team.

    Cons

Bogged down with 10 calls per day, plus follow-ups, on top of taking care of VIP clients. I feel as a travel professional for almost 30 years, this may not be the job for me. I feel like i cannot service clients the way they should be. there has to be a balance. i find myself working off the clock to make sure my clients are well taken care of.

    Advice to Management

become a real travel agency! have a VIP section. repeat clients need special attention. also, false advertising is not good for new clients. they get upset when we cannot offer them what the website promises. it is very stressful. Listen to the front line people.

I have been working at World Travel Holdings full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Flexible hours, no commute, no feel of someone hovering over your shoulder. The opportunity to help others create memories.

    Cons

Management keeps changing, tenured people are leaving by the boatloads. Claims of open door policy but no replies to emails from the people you have direct reporting to. Constant changes of primary software which are esthetically challenging ... Bring Tylenol for all the above.

I have been working at World Travel Holdings full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Work from home is a definite plus, salary ok, save on commuting expenses and clothing budget, minimal expense for Internet connection

    Cons

Awful schedules, unfair metrics to rank employees giving no value to hard working dependable employees, too much bs, extra hours assigned on a whim expecting you to drop your plans, on days off you are texted asking you to come into work

    Advice to Management

Team leads are a waste, they are puppets and not helpful and invisible at night
