I have been working at World Vision USA full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Very supportive teammates, and management who is actively working to improve workers experience and make World Vision a place where we can fulfill our career aspirations.

    Cons

I hear the pay is slightly lower than average relative to your position's Seattle average, but hey, it's a non-profit humanitarian organization. That's why we're here.

    Pros

    Advice to Management

stay focused on the heart of the work (quality aid and ministry), and do not be overly focused or preoccupied with growth.

I worked at World Vision USA full-time for more than a year

      Pros

Community with coworkers Training provided by company

      Cons

Attendance Policies Lack of Promotion Opportunity Impossible to Move Departments

      Advice to Management

The attendance policy needs change and just better respect for your employees. Timed bathroom breaks, punishments for needing sudden time off or needing to leave early for emergency reasons, and deductions for not being perfect on the phone. It can feel like the donors are more important than your employees who go into work day after day to get berated by strangers, all the while being expected to handle it with grace.

        Cons

Although salary range is close to , if not equal to, any for-profit organization, at the end of the day, it's not all about money

        Cons

lots of politics, too many unimportant meetings

        Advice to Management

I have been working at World Vision USA full-time

        Pros

Get to know you are part of something that actually makes a difference in some of the hardest places in the world.

        Cons

Your experience will greatly depend on who your two line managers are rather than company culture or the big picture mission of the organization.

        Advice to Management

Leadership and HR need to be more involved in the day to day work vs. asking for reports and spending time reviewing them. There needs to be more of a balance. The organization needs to become more agile.
