Very little room for promotions, inconsistent with the volume of work, and can get very stressful.

    Advice to Management

Get more locations that can operate on the same level to lessen the stress of the front line workers.

I worked at World's Foremost Bank part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Terrific company culture; people treat each other with respect. I've never worked with so many intelligent and thoughtful people before. There's a lot more to it than just calling people and demanding money, and I really felt I learned a lot about banking and about the way good collectors think about debt. Good behavior is incentivized; collectors are encouraged (as well as required) to treat customers fairly. Facilities are really nice. Scheduling is flexible (but see Cons below).

    Cons

It's a typical call center! Your breaks (including restroom) are timed to the second, everything is monitored. It's completely necessary, but it feels a bit oppressive in spite of everyone's best efforts. And it's collections, so the people called are often desperate and rude. All of this comes with the territory, but it can be emotionally hard on some people. The training process seems to have been improved since I left. Scheduling is well in advance, so it's hard to get time off on short notice.

    Advice to Management

None. From my standpoint, everything looked good. I suspect that things will be changing greatly at WFB in the next year. I hope they keep the great culture intact.

    Pros

Nice employees, catered lunches occasionally, decent pay, friendly customers.

    Cons

Busy, busy, busy. It is a call center, but being forced to such an adherence schedule that you can't even use the restroom without getting in trouble for not being on the phone is ridiculous.

    Advice to Management

Understand that these employees are not just numbers, they have human bodily functions as well. Not only that, you will never see a manager DO THE JOB.
