I have been working at WorldWide Language Resources full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Pay is great and although I'm in a deployed setting, meeting new culture is always a plus and a great experience.

    Cons

Being away from my family is hard.

    Advice to Management

    NONE

  4. Helpful (1)

    "Satisfactory"

    Pros

Pay, travel, and general logistics were done well by the company. Things were basically efficient and they seemed knowledgeable about the overseas process and working with client. Interviewer was realistic about what to expect, unlike a different company's interviewer who told me "working in AFG would be lke a long camping trip."

    Cons

Nothing major but the staff at the field office could have been more helpful towards employees. Got the sense they thought contractor were problems to held at arm's length rather than part of a team.

Culture diversity, deployment experience, one get to travel overseas 6 months at a time and get to visit Dubai for a month.

    Cons

There was no room for promotion. Living condition needs improvement.

I worked at WorldWide Language Resources full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I have nothing in the PRO area to say at all.

    Cons

Try not being met at BAGRAM by ANYONE in management...YES, they will hire ANYONE & I mean some REAL LOSERS...inc. MANAGEMENT...LOWBALLING (one of the LOWEST ) CONTRACTS IN THE AOR.

    Advice to Management

Take a LONG WALK off a SHORT PIER...better yet...QUIT and let a REAL MANAGER take over.

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at WorldWide Language Resources full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Have a team spirit mentality. Upper management provides valuable guidance and does not go off the deep end when issues arrive.

    Cons

WWLR does expect quality work. Timelines are expected to be met. Primarily government contracts. When the government decides to terminate a contract there may be a chance of employee cut backs.

    Advice to Management

Continue to be proactive in ensuring employees feel they are being taken care of by ensuring business development activities remain robust.
