    I have been working at Wright State University part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Supervisors and coworkers are encouraging and cooperative, the salary is good for a student job, and peer leading other students is very rewarding.

    Cons

    The employee training is still undergoing some development, but this does not affect the student employees much. We are also beginning to see some small cuts as a result of WSUs budget crisis.

    Direct supervisor in the physics department was understanding of all possible situations that could occur during a lab session and was cared about his employees.

    University administration isn't too competent.

    Working in a well balanced environment and around helpful people. All in all you can be creative, pursue the degree while you're working on projects relative to it.

    Cons

    Sometimes asking for stuff that everybody knows that they need to be done, is very complex. Requires a lot of authorizations to be able to change non-working work plans.
