I worked at Wyle full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good company, solid performers. Good benefits, positive leadership that did the right thing by employees.

    Cons

Loss of contract = loss of job. Can't be held against Wyle; a competitor low balled the customer, then attempted to hire folks from their current roles, at greatly reduced salary.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. I'd cheerfully work for the company again.

I worked at Wyle part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This role provided the opportunity to work with a software team in an agile development process creating complex and unique web applications. The pay is good and the people are nice.

    Cons

Management is spotty. Some teams are really good while others are lackluster. I had plenty of work while operating near full-time levels during the summer (this was essentially an internship) but my work level plummeted after I began working part-time alongside school. Depending on which team you are a part of, your experience and morale may vary widely.

    Advice to Management

Figure out which teams work and why. Certain teams consistently win trophies and praise while others experience decay and loss of morale. This is at its core a factor of management.

I have been working at Wyle full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very happy with my job here at Wyle. Great group of people - management, co-workers, everyone is great. Benefits are decent for me since I am a young adult with no kids. Pay is competitive. Everyone believes in each other and tries to help each other grow, learn and become better no matter what the day brings. It's refreshing.

    Cons

Doesn't seem like a lot of opportunity for growth within my group.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work!

    Pros

Middle managers were very professional, personable and helpful.

    Cons

DOD contractor environment is subject to government changes and is very competitive, thus long term employment with one contractor is unusual.

I worked at Wyle full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great team and work was not hard but like any other job I found myself dealing with fellow employees who I had no idea how they got hired. Totally incompetent. In the end though, I enjoyed my time there.

    Cons

Not very smart co-workers and they do hide current contract status which is not fair to the employees.

    Advice to Management

Do not be afraid to tell someone they are not doing anything the help.
