I have been working at Wyndham Vacation full-time

    Pros

Great benefits, great pay, entrepreneurial atmosphere

    Cons

Many most senior leaders only have sales experience and zero business capability. They only did sales at Wyndham their whole career.

I worked at Wyndham Vacation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The only pro I can think of is the experience.

    Cons

This is probably the worst work environment I've ever experienced. Your coworkers are only interested in themselves so don't expect any assistance even when you are new. And the management is patently awful, often times worst than the employees.

    Advice to Management

Learn to inspire your staff, instead of managing by threat and intimidation .

    Pros

Great company, lots of room for promotional growth if you want to travel and stay in the hospitality industry. Opportunities for relocation as well.

    Cons

Can be strenuous work, be prepared for working on holidays nights. Pay at first can be low but room for growth is possible. Each property is different

    Advice to Management

    Keep at it

    Can't think of one thing

    Cons

All of it, from the job itself to the people I had to deal with at work... very negative, clicky atmosphere

Learn more (employment laws), actually do some work, and quit gossiping like HS and start treating your job as a retail business

I worked at Wyndham Vacation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits and retirement. Also options and incentives to stay in their resorts at discounted prices. Very good advancement opportunities within the company.

    Cons

A lot of turnover in all areas. Management was changing constantly. On job training was a joke. You were thrown to the sharks and expected to know everything. And the pay was no where near enough to live on. Very high paced stressful environment...esp to someone who's never worked in hospitality guest services or with little supervision

    Advice to Management

Be patient with new hires. We all have to start from somewhere and people learn in very different ways. It's such a busy and fast paced atmosphere during check in and it can be extremely intimidating and little scary at first. My last word of advice....please refrain from talking about other employees etc in front of others. Most importantly other staff members and guests!! That is a catty and despicable way to operate a resort as large as Wyndham.
