I worked at Wyndham Worldwide full-time

    Pros

Very welcoming and supportive atmosphere. Feels like family.

    Cons

I was in a potential temp-hire position, and they did not hire me.

    Advice to Management

Keep it up. Working there was like a breadth of fresh air.

I worked at Wyndham Worldwide full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The pro's were making a few good friends. That's it.

    Cons

Horrid pay. Management doesn't know their head from a hole in the ground, always reinventing the wheel because they just can't figure it out, trying to run group sales in Carmel like RCI call center and it will NEVER work, low low pay, horrible medical benefits, reverse racism, after almost two years, they still don't have commissions figured out which are capped and very low. Capped at 480.00 and of course people who have never made much commission thinks that it's a lot of money and it's not. They expect a lot of work and production for very little hourly rate and very low unrealistic commission, meanwhile Wyndham takes and takes franchise fees, makes tons of money and do not hold hotels accountable for having clean decent hotels. I would not advise working there.

    Advice to Management

Don't be the ostrich. Get your crap together and stop screwing over your employees and have some pride.

I have been working at Wyndham Worldwide full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Generous bonus structure, admin staff is helpful & knowledgeable, if you are a top producer you won't be micro-manager.

    Cons

Tour quality, no paid vacation or holidays off, constant staffing and policy changes.

    Advice to Management

Address the tour quality issues rather than continuing to blame sales reps for not being able to close a deal on people who can't qualify.

I worked at Wyndham Worldwide part-time

    Pros

    -Great colleagues
-Auto gratuities make paycheck more consistent
    -Beautiful grounds
    -some management friendly and helpful
-relatively low turnover of staff so people know what they are doing
-great after work community among staff
    -usually get to eat

    Cons

    -Unstable schedule
    -Often typically hostile hospitality environment
-Front of house doesn't have the best relationship with the kitchen
-Some shifts 13 hours long, some 3 hours
    -Some management straight up rude
-The building is old and needs some maintenance in particular carpets throughout and paint throughout
-tips aren't consistent and often don't come at all due to the B2B nature of the business

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to the management skills of middle management, upper management should be more accessible. In a big corporate environment the chefs and F+B managers should be more capable than resorting to the typical "firefighter' (read: angry and bossy) style of management, especially with such a great team on their hands.

I have been working at Wyndham Worldwide full-time

    Pros

Wyndham is pretty good with the average workers and call center people from what I can tell. They are very environmentally conscious and socially active. Probably mostly for the public image given that the hospitality industry is infamously wasteful.

    Cons

The IT Dept. is taken advantage of and under appreciated. Upper management in IT is more concerned with meeting their numbers and taking care of the money making side but they don't seem willing to show appreciation for all that the IT techs and managers do. Things were better years ago but now they just don't care and it's getting worse. They are commoditizing they people and they is no work/life balance. It's pretty clear they are working towards outsourcing as much as possible.

I worked at Wyndham Worldwide full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The team atmosphere was fun most of the time. Lots of incentives and contests.

    Cons

Its timeshare. So welcome to high pressure sales and having to spin every sentence in your pitch. High turnover.

    Advice to Management

Find a system that more people feel comfortable supporting. Make it a less painful experience for the guests.

    Cons

    Advice to Management

    Stop serving cool aid.
BI management are tyrants and micromanagers.
