    Pros

"Count on Me" culture is limited to the department you work in.

    Cons

Executives continuously show that they don't care about hourly employees as they find manipulative ways to take away PTO. For holidays Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day, you are required to volunteer to work one. Sick time can only be requested within 60 days, not sure how easy it is for salaried employees to get a doctor’s appointment within 60 days, but it's not that easy for most of us. Communication is a nightmare, especially from other departments. No one really seems to know anything or get pawned off to other areas, that may or may not know anything either. Annual employee surveys are a joke, as real issues are not addressed. The belief at the corporate level is "anyone can get a doctor’s note" when you are sick and can’t or shouldn’t be at work. Wyndham spews the motto "count on me," but who can count on a company when they don't even trust you? Customers aren’t treated any better since the company cares so little, it starts from above and works down.

    Advice to Management

If you bother to read the cons, you might actually do something rather than patting each other on back.

    Pros

The company has incentives and fantastic training to help you succeed.

    Cons

Their word is not golden especially on receiving all of your money from hard work.

    Advice to Management

Do not promise your employees when they take time off and come back that they will receive their money from their sales.

I worked at Wyndham Worldwide full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits, reasonable pay, good work life balance. Gorgeous properties in Galveston, Tx. Great entry level management opportunity. Lots of annual festivals to keep hotel busy.

    Cons

Still have a ways to go with structured SOPs and some executive leaders have been in their positions for too long. Not as much room for upward movement as I would have expected.

    Advice to Management

Shake thinks up in leadership and don't be afraid to fire under performers, they discourage the good employees.

I worked at Wyndham Worldwide full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, customer service and HR department. Flexible schedules, cafeteria, parking and 401K.

    Cons

Flexible schedule means working overnight as well at times. Parking was a bit far and in a dangerous area.

    Pros

People in my team are very friendly and work very hard to make sure the properties are amazing and give high level service. Good time off plan.

    Cons

IT department is a nightmare. Trying to get anything done is extremely difficult. Health insurance is appalling with Cigna insurance and high co-pays with too many exclusions. Depending what office you are located in decides the surroundings. Florida, New Jersey and Las Vegas are amazing. Redmond is nasty.

    Advice to Management

If the associates are as important as you say, take care of everyone with better insurance, and break down the silos. Hold the IT department to the same standards as the resort employees. Some of the sales people are so aggressive they are more harm to the business then good. Social Media and word of mouth can hurt the company more then making enemies of current and future owners.
