I worked at Wynn Resorts full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You get to work on a beautiful property where the attention to detail is perfect. Management gets safe and secure parking on property. There are some corporate discounts for gym memberships as well as waived fees when applying for housing (apts; etc). Employee dining room is well maintained and the food is healthy.

    Cons

They don’t offer rooms discount for employees on a regular basis. Employees are not allowed to use their employee discount for restaurants on the weekend. As far as corporate life I can only speak for the Food and Beverage department and all I can say is there is a lot of turnover. If you don’t like being micromanaged you shouldn’t work here.

    Advice to Management

Don’t hire smart people if you’re just going to tell them what to do anyways. Promote people who do their job extremely well.

I worked at Wynn Resorts full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good pay and decent food (paid lunch)

    Cons

Hard to advance. It really is about who you know and not what you know. Doesnt matter if your the most qualified for a job. Unless you look the part or a favorite (or family friend of someone high ranking) you won't get promoted.

    Advice to Management

Think about what's best for your department. Your decisions cause good people to leave or even lose their jobs.

"The fees are upsetting guests and ruining tips"

I worked at Wynn Resorts full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Is seen as a high end property (for now).

    Cons

Tips are not what they used to be. Guests are rightfully upset at the lack of relaxed service (understaffing) versus the Resort fee, parking fee, valet fee. What's next a bathroom fee?!

    Advice to Management

5 star service does not nickel and dime guests and does not misrepresent. The resort fees add up to more than the room and guests are upset and don't tip and don't come back. Wages versus other hotels used to be lower because tips were higher. Not anymore. Wynn is fast following MGM and Ceasers off the Strangle the Golden Goose Cliff.
