I worked at Wynn Resorts full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Training, Day off after thanksgiving, very little weekend work.

    Cons

New management is out to prove they belong. No experience in gaming or hospitality. Employees have no management in IT and do not want to do anything unless pushed or threatened. needs to be more proactive and not reactive. Vendor management needs upgrade and vendors need to be best for business and not picked by buddies.

    Advice to Management

Reel in the bulldog management, Marketing and IT.

I have been working at Wynn Resorts full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Flexible hours

The manager and the assistant manager are fair and understanding

    Cons

Have to leave early when you're finished with your work, helping co-workers, and miscellaneous work such as boxing papers, filing boxes, etc. when the hotel revenue is low.

Lack of teamwork among co-workers. The co-workers take time with their work so they do not have to do miscellaneous work. The same people end up doing extra miscellaneous work.

    Low pay.

    Gossips.

The supervisor treats you like a middle school student, and she also looks down on you.

Feels like you're in grade school.

    Difficult to move up.

    No work-life balance.

I worked at Wynn Resorts full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Co-workers are fun to be around, compensation for cars charged for parking

    Cons

tips are average at best, micromanagement to the fullest, high turnover rate, strict dress code and expectations to meet 5 star resort requirements.

    Advice to Management

I would have enjoyed working at this job following the requirements made of the front service staff if we would have been compensated fairly. There are resorts outside of the strip, local properties that tower over the compensation that Wynn and Encore offers, and they expect half as much within the job requirements the Wynn and Encore demands.
