I have been working at Wynn Resorts full-time

    Pros

Work at the most sought after Casino in the world. The best of the best, cream de la krem of its league. Highest paid on the strip. Promoting from within.

    Cons

Very hard to get in. Could've provided better health insurance and 401 k

I have been working at Wynn Resorts full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Hourly pay is slightly better than other resorts on the strip.

    Cons

Point system needs to be re-evaluated. People have gotten in car accidents and have to call work before heading to the hospital.

I worked at Wynn Resorts full-time for less than a year

    Pros

its full time with benefits, with good food in the cdr and only one hour paid lunch its like your in the amazing race because of the long lines. The pay is better for an entry level retail job than in other hotels/casinos in the strip.

    Cons

too much micromanagement , Jealousy and back stabbing is common. Not a happy place to work. Too uptight and they are too scared of the Forbes reviewer. They think new hires are dumb when theyre actually NEW HIRES. How will you know the system right away if you are so new to the company.

I have been working at Wynn Resorts full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

None...they pay my bills I guess?

    Cons

Questionable ethics and the most dehumanizing and demeaning environment I've ever worked in. Managers are not held accountable, and hourly employees face much stricter standards in comparison. Pay less than what is offered at other properties on the strip. The chairman fights off unions because he doesn't want his employees to have rights, protection, or a voice. HR is anything but impartial and stands with management when issues arise, not the victims. Employees are not trusted or valued. The back of house halls often reek of garbage, but Mr. Wyn would lose his slit if he caught a whiff in his villa or anywhere front of house. 5 star standards for guests are not extended to employees. The employee dining room is disgusting and the bigwigs wouldn't dare eat food from there. Don't work here unless you are truly self-loathing and want to hate something even more than yourself.

I worked at Wynn Resorts full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great food and the hotel is beautiful to see everyday. A fun time place to visit if you've got a need to gamble.

    Cons

Driving to the strip everyday. Management seems to micromanage their employees. I think they should get off their high horse and come down to earth. A lot of stuck up people there.

I have been working at Wynn Resorts full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Good people to work with and free food. Manages work with your schedule if you have school or another job. You work at both Wynn and Encore until you get full time. The only resort on the strip that you have the potential to get full time shift in less than a year.

    Cons

No opportunity to make good tips because they are so overstaffed all the time. Every holiday or big event that goes on expect to make less money than normal because so many people to split tips with. You will literally have an army of valets standing around doing nothing because they're so overstaffed during events. Most places cut the hours down so you have the opportunity to make some good money but not here especially at Encore. That's why you can get a full time shift faster here than any other casino because they make much less in tips. Also the hourly is around $10.90hr which is much less than other companies. Wynn is one of the cheapest companies on the strip when it comes to employee pay for all departments. You will have to work most holidays and weekends unless you have seniority. Nobody wants to become a valet manager because you will have to take whatever manager shift is open even if it's graveyard and you make less tips. Usually when you become a manager you make more money but here you will take a pay cut and have more stress to deal with. If you try to transfer to another department you will start at the bottom again and have to work your way up even if you been there since opening. The only thing you take with you when you transfer would be your vacation hours you earn over the years. So basically a dead end job unless you can transfer to a office job which you would start off full time. But you will take a huge pay cut taking an office job here from a tipping position like valet. Unless your related to anyone in the Wynn family or have connection at the top don't expect to get a decent paying office job no matter how much experience education you have.

I have been working at Wynn Resorts part-time

    Pros

The top hotel on the strip, the name that will be on your resume will be great.

    Cons

Top hotel means strict policies. Mandatory over time, black on days on all holidays and events in town.

I worked at Wynn Resorts full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Good working environment, dining area, and employee benefits. You will be supplied with all the tools you need to be successful.

    Cons

Lowest paying property on the strip. It is clearly part of the business strategy so it's either take it or leave it.
